I really liked completing the Deed of Gift project this week. It was fun and allowed Miranda and I to be creative and humorous. I also enjoyed the guest speaker last week. Dr. Johnson was no holds bar when it came to speaking about the problems and concerns with the CSUS museum. I loved his frankness about the situation, and could empathize with his frustrations. Below is my hours for the week, itemized by task.
I spent a total of 3 hours catching up on all my back reading (I am thankfully caught up with the syllabus). I also spent a total of 2.5 hours blogging (including meeting with Carrie to fix my page and learn how to use the RSS feed). I spent a total of 2 hours working on the Deed of Gift project, which included meeting with my partner, communicating via email, and actually getting it on paper.
Total hours completed: 7.5 hours

so Marina for my portion of the story board will be "What is consultation?" I will have an explanation of the process including info on federally recognized tribes and not. I am also going to take Dr. C's idea of showing an example of consultation process on a working cap and the widows cap. I will have to look for examples on the web to use. I hope this is enough info for you let me know if you have questions.
ReplyDeleteSo I will be doing one text panel on dance caps/ sacred caps titled "Sacred Basket Caps" with a picture. The text will be based on a success story of repatriation and what sacred basket caps functions are.
ReplyDeleteI will be doing on text panel on widow cap entitled "Widows Cap" including the the function of caps that are not sacred and their importance.
